The best blushes

We talked all about the best bronzer, now it is time to give blush its moment in the spotlight. As always there are a million and one products on the market claiming to be the best of the best. Do we want to expand our horizons and try all the products? Yes, of course. Do we want to spend a ton of money on cosmetics and be stuck with products we don't like? Ummmmm no, no we don't. I am going to be sharing my favorite blushes that I have tried over the years. Many of these have been in my own personal makeup collection and some of these are actively being used in my pro makeup kit. All of the blushes have made the team (aka my list of recommendations) and perform/ wear extremely. Keep scrolling to take a look at the lineup.

The Kevyn Aucoin Neo Blush is the blush I have been reaching for the most in my kit. What is so special about this blush? It mixes a variety of finishes together for a multi-dimensional look. Not only does it have a beautiful color gradient, but it also contains a gradient of matte, pearl, and satin finishes. You have the option to swirl the shades and finish together or concentrate your brush on a certain area depending on the color and finish you want. This Blush wears extremely well on the skin and glides on smooth. It also photographs beautifully too! You can shop 4 shades of this blush at your local Sephora or online at kevynaucoinbeauty.com.

The Mac powder blushes will never let you down. When it comes to applying this blush a little goes on a long way. Start off very, very light and build up from there. This blush was formulated for the professional makeup artist and the pigmentation is there. It applies extremely smoothly to the skin and lasts all day long. You have the option to buy this blush in a refill fan or in its original packaging. If you have your own custom makeup palette you can easily pop the refill shade into it. You can shop these blushes 22 shades at a Mac store or counter and at Mac's website.

I talked about the ambient lighting bronzer in a previous blog post and now the blush is getting its moment today. Hour Glass really figured out this formula and it is a product I always come back to. This blush applies softly to the skin and creates a diffused, airy flush of color. Incorporated into the formula is its signature ambient lighting powder formula to provide multidimensional color. This blush wears extremely beautifully on the skin and is definitely worth its price tag. You can shop 8 different shades of this blush at Sephora and on Hourglass's website.

The Benefit Box Powders are an absolute classic. They have been around for a long time and they are going nowhere anytime soon. Being in the makeup world for this and still being a popular choice says it all about this product. These blushes provide you with buildable color so you can go from a subtle flush to full-on rosy cheeks. The radiant finish also provides your skin with a hint of glow to keep your skin looking bright. You can shop Benefit box blushes in 6 different shades and they also sell different sets on their website too. Find these products at Ulta Beauty, Sephora, and Benefit's boutiques and website.

The Laura Mercier Creme blush has been in my pro makeup kit since the beginning of my freelance days. Its velvety texture leaves a beautiful, natural finish on the skin. This creme blush is available in 6 different shades and can be shopped on Laura Mercier's website

If you keep up to date with my blog, you already know what I have to say. Glossier Cloud paint will always be a favorite to me. I use it in almost every makeup application, whether on its own or layered with another product. I am obsessed. This liquid blush can be applied for a sheer tint of color or easily built up for a more intense look. It leaves a beautiful natural finish on the skin and has all-day wear. Cloud paint is available in 8 shades and can be purchased on the Glossier Website.

The Milani Baked Blush had been a drug store favorite for many years. This Blush has also built up its reputation to be known as a drug store dupe for the Nars blushes. Its affordable price and quality formula (that is vegan and cruelty-free) truly make it stand out. Its baked formula will leave you with a radiant, flushed glow. You can create natural, subtle looks or easily build up the color for more glam. This Blush is available in 8 different shades and can be found at Ulta beauty or at your local drug store.
